Scholars' Stories from Costa Rica Service Trip

In August 2012, The Challenge Foundation went on its third annual service trip. Thirteen high school scholars traveled to Chilamate in Costa Rica for ten days to help build a community center and stay with families. The Challenge Foundation partnered with World Leadership School to provide a rich experiential learning curriculum. In addition to service work and homestays, the students developed leadership skills and learned about the rainforest ecosystem.
