Our Service Learning Program seeks to gather the Challenge community together to share resources, meet real community needs, and help to educate youth to become the change agents of tomorrow. Service learning opportunities take place locally, in other states, and in countries outside of the United States.
Each Challenge partner school requires that students perform service as part of their education during middle and high school years. Challenge Scholars are active in this process and participate both in school-sponsored service learning opportunities and in individual projects pursued on their own.
Our summer program includes days devoted entirely to serving others in our community. Additionally, some of our high school students participate in service learning trips, both within the United States and internationally.
